Terms of service
The terms under which practices and their authorized users may use PaigeFlow.
1. What the service is
PaigeFlow is administrative communication software. It captures consult information, delivers it to an on-call surgeon, records that surgeon’s decision, and notifies the people the surgeon designates. It is not a medical device and does not provide clinical decision support.
2. No clinical function
PaigeFlow does not diagnose, treat, triage, interpret imaging, or recommend a course of care. Every clinical judgment is made by a licensed clinician. The subscribing practice is responsible for clinical decisions, for reviewing compiled consults and draft notes before relying on them, and for the accuracy of anything entered into a medical record.
3. Coverage remains the practice’s responsibility
PaigeFlow supports on-call coverage; it does not provide it. The practice is responsible for maintaining coverage, keeping contact details current, and having a plan for periods when the service, a carrier, or a phone is unavailable. Telephone and messaging delivery depend on third-party carriers and are not guaranteed.
4. Urgent calls
When a caller reports an urgent condition, the system attempts to connect them to the surgeon and then to the designated backup. If nobody answers, it sends the case by message and records each attempt. The practice must ensure a working fallback exists for calls that cannot be connected.
5. Protected health information
Use of the service with real patient information requires a signed business associate agreement between PaigeFlow and the practice. Until that agreement is executed, the service is to be used with fictional data only.
6. Accounts and acceptable use
Accounts are individual and must not be shared. The practice is responsible for its users’ activity and for removing access when someone leaves. The service may not be used to send marketing messages or to contact patients for any purpose other than the care the surgeon has planned.
7. Messaging
PaigeFlow sends and receives text messages, and places voice calls, on behalf of the subscribing practice. Messages go to the requesting clinicians who contact a consult line, the scheduling staff the practice designates such as the OR desk or house supervisor, the implant representatives the surgeon names, and patients or family members for whom consent has been recorded at the bedside. Message frequency varies: a single consult may produce several messages, and a quiet night produces none. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP, END, CANCEL or UNSUBSCRIBE to any message to opt out; you will receive one confirmation and nothing further. Reply HELP for help, or write to admin@paigeflow.com. Mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
8. Fees, term and termination
Subscription terms and fees are set out in the practice’s order. Either party may terminate as provided there. On termination the practice may export its records, and we delete them on request.
9. Warranties and liability
The service is provided as described in these terms and the practice’s order. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Our aggregate liability is limited as set out in the practice’s order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms and will post the new version here with an effective date. Material changes will be communicated to practice administrators.
